Rapper Slim Dunkin, whose real name was Mario Hamilton, was reportedly shot in the chest at an Atlanta music studio.

ATLANTA  — Atlanta police say the rapper Slim Dunkin has been gunned down in a music studio as he prepared to record a video.
Police Maj. Keith Meadows said the performer, whose real name is Mario Hamilton, was fatally shot in the chest after getting into an argument with another individual.
"It appears the victim was scheduled to do a photo shoot," Meadows told The Associated Press. "Before the video shoot took place, it appears the victim and suspect got involved in a verbal altercation. We don't know what that altercation was about."
"The suspect produced a weapon, discharged that handgun one time, striking the victim in the chest," Meadows said.
The performer was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Meadows said police have not been able to identify the shooter. He said 13 to 20 people were in the small office-type building at the time of the shooting, which took place around 5:30 p.m. local time, but they were in different places.
"We've questioned a number of witnesses inside the recording studio at this time." Meadows said.
Police have not recovered the handgun that was used.
"Right now we're just trying to....identify who may have seen what, really just trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together," he said. "It seems everybody witnessed something very different. We're just trying to go back and make sense of everything."
Meadows said the victim was in his early 20s and resided in the Atlanta area.

THE SAME S**T FLOATS TO THE TOP: Black Arkansas Teen Denied Valedictorian

A black Arkansas teen who graduated top of her class is suing her high school for racial discrimination after the principal decided to name a white student with a lower GPA as co-valedictorian.
Kymberly Wimberly, 18, told ABC News she always dreamed about being at the top of her class at McGehee High School.
"When I found out I was valedictorian, I was ecstatic," she said.
That soon changed when Wimberly's mother, Molly Bratton, who works at the school as a media specialist, overheard school officials saying they wanted to avoid the "big mess" that would happen with Wimberly as valedictorian, the teen said.
The lawsuit alleges there was a "pattern and practice of school administrators and personnel treating the African-American students less favorably than the Caucasian ones."
A white student with a lower GPA was named co-valedictorian.
"I told [the co-valedictorian] this isn't fair. This is an administrative decision," Wimberly said, saying she told the student: "We both know if the tables were turned, there wouldn't be a co-valedictorian."
She said the other student agreed.
Wimberly, who took Advanced Placement and honors courses, managed to maintain the top GPA, even though she gave birth to a daughter during her junior year.
"I'm not going to say it wasn't difficult," she said. "My teachers thought I'd fall flat on my face, but I kept trying to succeed."
Her lawyer, John Walker, said discrimination is unfortunately still present in the school system.
"There's a history of oppression where people don't speak up for themselves," Walker said. "White students are elevated ahead of black students in order to allow that position to be maintained by white students."
The McGehee School District did not respond to ABC News' request for an interview.
Wimberly said she will be attending the University of Arkansas beginning this fall and plans to major in biology.
She is asking for punitive damages and for the school record to be changed, reflecting her as the sole valedictorian for the class of 2011.
"This won't be a repeat at my school," she said.

WHEN TRICKING GOES WRONG

Dallas Cowboys baller Roy E. Williams fell head over heels for former Miss Texas USA Brooke Daniels, but after she rejected his proposal, he asked for his $76,000 ring back. Get the nutty deets inside....

In a recent court filling, Dallas baller Roy Williams Jr. asked for the return of a $76,600 engagement ring he sent to pagent queen Brooke Daniels....in the mail.  yes, he proposed to her by sending her an engagement ring IN THE DAMN MAIL.
In addition to the ring, Roy claims he also sent $5,000 for school and dental bills, a baseball for Daniels’ brother and a recorded marriage proposal with the ring through the mail just before Valentine’s Day. But Brooke didn't accept the proposal....and she kept the ring!
So after the rejection, Roy asked for the ring back but surprise, Brooke said she "lost" it.   WOMP.
Then an investigation, launched by Roy's insurance company, located the ring.  And it was with Brooke's dad, Michael Daniels.
It gets a little tricky though. Michael Daniels claims that he has documentation that Roy told Brooke to keep the ring....but he will return it to avoid a lawsuit.
Ummmm.....I'd like to know how he got the ring if Brooke "lost" it. But whatevs...

WTF: WHOA A HUMAN MOP

Why did this poor little white girl get dragged out of the jack in the box? Hmm who did she call a nigger?

WHO'S YOUR BEST FRIEND?

Is your lover your best friend? This is a really important question anyone should ask themselves if they consider their relationship to be serious. Your lover is someone who you spend a lot of time with, and if you want to be with this person for the rest of your life, or a long time, then you really need to enjoy this person. Sex is always an important thing in any relationship, but there might come a time when it gets boring for a while. This is where a lot of relationships go south. Sex can reveal things about your relationship that you never would have imagined. On the other hand, a committed relationship between two people can survive if the couple is more than just sex partners. If they are best friends, or even just friends, then they have a greater chance of overcoming complex obstacles that a relationship can encounter.

We all know that friends are very important, and we all depend on them from time to time. Well, who is the most important person that we should want to depend on? That should be our lover, or whatever you choose to call that significant other. If we want to put trust into that person, and put up with their issues, then you must like them, and want to see them do well. When things get tough you should always want to talk with your best friend. That might not be the first person that you go to, but they tend to have the most important influence on us.

I advise everyone to take a good look at their relationship, and ask himself or herself this very important question, is my lover my best friend? Even if your lover isn’t your best friend, do they have potential of being your best friend? Before you consider investing time into a person, take a long serious thought into this question. It can save your future.

REALLY: BIRDMAN LOSES 2 MILLION DOLLARS IN MIAMI DALLAS FINALS BET

Well for someone who just lost 2 million dollars in an NBA finals bet, it looks like Birdman really couldn't give a damn. As seen in the photo above, he and Lil Wayne are partying up with the Larry O'brian trophy, and Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks, who had just defeated the Miami Heat in South Beach.

EDDIE LONGS-STROKE'S WIFE MOVES OUT THE "BOY'S TOWN" REST HAVEN

Well-placed spies for The Mo’Kelly Report and long-time members of New Birth are alleging that Vanessa Long, the First Lady of New Birth has moved out of the house, in fact taking one of the children with her due to the scandal.
These are WELL-placed and trustworthy sources.
Mo’Kelly has already reached out to New Birth to see if it has any official response or counter narrative. Don’t hold your breath if you expect New Birth to tell the truth and acknowledge any family disarray. Nevertheless, New Birth has been offered equal space here in The Mo’Kelly Report as Mo’Kelly always does.
One is always welcome to tell his/her side here…you just have to be willing to step up to the plate.

FINALLY: Leomie Anderson BLOWS THE WHISTLE ON RACISM IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY

The brave and beautiful Leomie Anderson released an open letter in the UK Sunday Times, which sheds light on the divisions of race in the fashion industry. It will probbly piss off a lot of execs, but who gives a damn, the truth is the truth, and she look great, so people will pay attention.

"I have been working as a model for more than three years. I’ve been photographed for Italian Vogue, Dazed & Confused and ID. I’ve modelled at Paris, New York and London Fashion Weeks, but I haven’t done Milan FashionWeek. I’ve heard from other black models that it’s much harder to get work in Milan. The successful black girls don’t even bother travelling there for castings, because they know they won’t do as well, even if they’ve walked for great designers in all the other cities. Even people from Milan will say that the fashion market there is very behind. They’d rather stick with what they know.
I’ve only had one racist comment made directly at me. I’d gone to a casting for a London fashion designer, I can’t say who. They just said: “We only want pale-skinned girls to be in our show.” To be honest, I didn’t feel emotional about it. I just thought: “Well, it’s not my fault. That’s their opinion. They are out of date, and in time, they’ll have to change; they can’t continue with that perspective.”
When I started at Premier Models, Carole [White, the founder] warned me that some designers would have outdated views, and that it’s not personal. Annie [Wil shaw, her booker at Premier] is bored with it: she says black girls have to work twice as hard to get picked up. Actually, it made me feel better that they raised the issue with me, that they weren’t awkward about it. And Annie is right: it is a lot harder for us. If a show uses 20 girls, there’ll only be space for two ethnic minorities — if that. There’s nothing to stop a fashion designer using only white girls in a show. There’s no union representation for models, and a designer can do whatever works for them.
Even though it may not be right, fashion portrays what people want to be; it reflects society, it’s the world we live in The preference for white skin seems to happen especially if a designer has been in the industry for a long time. But it’s a generalised mentality among fashion houses — they used to have mostly white customers, so it made sense to have white models, but now there are many more eastern Europeans, Asians and women from the Middle East buying fashion. The houses are struggling to adjust to the new market. It’s also possibly recession-related. In any time of rapid social change, people stick to what they know, and in fashion that’s the white girl.
“Shadeism” definitely exists: there are different attitudes to different shades of black. Lighter-skinned models are used more than darker-skinned ones, and if darker models are used, it tends to be for a traditional African look.
When designers create an African or tribal print, they’ll get a black girl to model it. I’d say I was in the middle of the spectrum — I’m dark-skinned, but I don’t have traditional African features, so I tend not to be stereotyped. There can also be problems with hair and make-up. Hair stylists never pack black hair products, because they don’t expect to see black girls. They can be scared to work with our hair. I wouldn’t call it racism; it’s just that finding real black hair is rare. Make-up is improving — girls such as Jourdan Dunn and Ajak doing well has helped — but sometimes, when my make-up is finished, it doesn’t look as nice as it does on white skin. They don’t know how to adjust to our skin tone.
You’ll find bitchy models, but it’s not because of race, it’s just their personality. I’ve never had any comments that have made me feel uncomfortable. Once you’ve got the job, everyone just behaves normally. I read about James Brown’s comments. [He repeatedly called the black presenter Ben Douglas a nigger and his female companion a nigger’s bitch, following the Baftas ceremony.] Maybe he was trying to be funny, but using that word is not cool, and it’s pretty out of date to find it funny. I’ve actually met James Brown — he was nice and asked me about my mother. He didn’t seem racist to me. When people are drunk, they say things they don’t mean. Things always go wrong when people aren’t in their right mind. Especially if you’re in the public eye, you’ll always get caught out. And if you’re in the public eye, you have a responsibility not to offend.
Even though it may not be right, fashion portrays what people want to be; it reflects society, it’s the world we live in. The idea of fashion looking better on white skin is associated with an old sense of elitism, yet society has become much more diverse. In time, I think fashion will change.
Fashion is always outrageous, though, and famously politically incorrect. The bitchiness is part of that outrageousness. If fashion stuck to the rules, it wouldn’t be such a big industry. Even if racism went away completely, they would find something else to be outrageous about. I would like to see fashion be more open and less prejudiced to different ethnicities, but it is the way it is because it’s such an exclusive world. Its exclusivity is why people want to be in it. If fashion had a broader perspective of beauty, would there be such a thing as a supermodel?
As it is now, if a black girl does well, it’s seen as more of an achievement. That’s what drives me to succeed. I don’t think talking about racism in fashion will change anything. Even if fashion changes, it’s not going to change the world. I’d rather just have a positive attitude. If I were feeling discriminated against, I might go into a casting thinking I’m not going to get this job. It’s negativity that will disadvantage me."
